CREST Program Objective

Our CREST programs have been designed to enhance engagement and develop student voice and choice within the curriculum. As a member of any of the CREST academy classes your student will be involved in a range of learning experiences that will challenge them in their specific areas of interest and aid in the development of 21st Century skills. These skills will include critical and creative thinking, communication, collaboration and teamwork, personal and social skills and ICT skills.

At Bribie Island State High School there are two sets of CREST programs and they include:

CREST CORE Learning Programs

CREST: Ignite

CREST: Ignite provides opportunities for a group of committed, academic students to work together across core classes studying the Australian Curriculum. Students will be provided with greater autonomy and will collaborate with students, teachers and community members in developing solutions to real-world problems.

CREST: Innovate

CREST: Innovate offers students a curriculum program with embedded experiences of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics as well as opportunities to develop problem-solving strategies. Teachers will use inquiry-learning methods and a focus on deep learning to enhance students' 21st century skills.

CREST ELECTIVE Learning Program

Our CREST Elective programs deliver on student focus areas of interest and engagement.

- CREST: AFL

- CREST: Dance

- CREST: Futsal/ Soccer

- CREST: Innovate in Motion (ARTS)

- CREST: Rugby Sports

These programs are our all-inclusive programs that cater for individual needs for both males and females with the aim to create active, well rounded and committed young people with an interest their chosen field of interest.
