In addition to hosting long-term international students, Bribie Island State High School also welcomes occasional short-term international study tours. Study tours are arranged by Education Queensland International for overseas students who wish to visit Queensland government schools to enrich their linguistic, educational and cultural experiences. Study tours combine English language learning, Australian immersion classes, Indigenous cultural experiences and a variety of cultural exchange activities. Trips to Australia Zoo as well as local environmental education centres are also often included in study tours.
Students on study tours have the opportunity to stay with local Australian families, practice their English skills, and discover Australian school life with the help of a local Australian student ambassador.
