Guidance officers identify factors that can interfere or disrupt effective learning, wellbeing and development, and plan or assist in planning interventions or programs that can help students achieve positive outcomes.
At Bribie Island State High School our Guidance officer works directly with the student or with the student's teachers, support personnel, family, other specialists, or other agencies depending on the issues to be resolved and the student’s age. A range of issues can be supported by our guidance officers including personal and social development, mental health, diverse learning styles and needs, and educational and career pathways.
Available five days per week, appointments are available by calling the office: (07) 3400 2444.
